The following is a list of the types of workshops I teach and their requirements (time & materials). All skills levels are accepted except as noted for advanced workshops. Workshops are for teens & adults, but I will usually accept younger students so long as they are well behaved. Please contact me if you would like to set up a workshop.

Creature Design

This workshop covers use of reference, thumbnails, silhouettes, and expression to create strong, unique creature designs. The creatures discussed are tailored to the workshop participants, but creating your own original creatures is strongly encouraged. Materials used: Pencil & Paper (provided by me). Cost: Free Time: 1-2 hours.


Drawing & Painting Dragons

This workshop focuses on dragons including: wurms, serpents, Asian, western, traditional, and other dragons. An optional demo of a specific medium can be included such as watercolor or ink. Materials used: Pencil & Paper (provided by me). Cost: Free Time: 1-2 hours.


Drawing Goblins, Faeries & Mermaids

This workshop focuses drawing goblins, faeries and mermaids. General figure construction and posing is discussed. Materials used: Pencil & Paper (provided by me). Cost: Free Time: 1-2 hours.

Robots, Steampunk & Clockwork

This workshop covers drawing steampunk, clockwork, and robots. Including an Inking demo. Materials used: Pencil, Paper, Pen (provided by me). Cost: Free Time: 1-2 hours.

Environment Design

This workshop covers basic perspective, unique design, use of thumbnails, creating depth and so forth. Materials used: Pencil & Paper (provided by me). Cost: Free Time: 1-2 hours.

ADVANCED Environment Design

This workshop covers ADVANCED perspective including 2 and 3 point and fishbowl. You need to know basic environment design first. Materials used: Pencil & Paper (provided by me). Cost: Free Time: 1-2 hours.

Specific Environment Design

Specific topics such as landscapes, castles etc, are also available.

Material Demos

Demos of specific materials. These are DEMOS only, materials are not provided to students. Materials can include: Pencil, Watercolor, Marker, Ink, Digital Paint, clay. Color materials include color wheel and color mixing info. Cost: Free. Time: 1 hour per material.

Materials Hands On

Any of the following materials: Pencil, Watercolor, Marker, Ink. Includes 1 on 1 with students. Students must bring the materials (a list will be provided). This can be combined with a specific topic (i.e. Painting dragons using watercolor). Time: 1-4 hours depending on medium. Free for Pencil and Ink, Watercolor and Marker prices determined based on students needs.
